Project Overview

This identity and ad campaign for Cranbrook on the Green: Artist-Designed Mini-Golf celebrates the legacy of Cranbrook through the integration of iconic sculptures and iconography from the campus in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

The look-and-feel establishes a nostalgic summertime mood by using youthful, bright colors that are combined with Esprit-like geometry and 80’s/90’s-style patterning. The collaged approach itself nods to the iconic Cranbrook designer, April Greiman.

Project Goals

  • Develop a flexible visual identity system to promote the exhibition across a variety of platforms, from digital, to print, to in-person

  • Create an accessible gateway for visitors from all paths of life to learn more about contemporary art and modern design in a world-renowned setting

  • Celebrate the history and culture of the Cranbrook Educational Community

Project Collaborators

  • Lyla Catellier, Curator of Public Programs, Cranbrook Art Museum

  • Andrew Blauvelt, Director of Cranbrook Art Museum

  • A Couple of Putts, Mini-Golf Course Designers
