Owned by Dr. Marian Elder, Trailside Eye Care is an Ontario-based optometry practice opening in late 2020 / early 2021. Its unique area of specialization is focused on, but not limited to, dry eye care.

Dr. Elder wanted Trailside Eye Care’s brand to be a family-friendly office that is chic enough for Meghan Markle. We created upscale hometown charm by focusing on simple and delicate shapes to blend eyes and vision, with the outdoorsy location of the office near the Elora Cataract Trailway.

Brand messaging communicates Trailside Eye Care is a down-to-earth expert who doesn’t over-complicate your diagnosis. They speak clearly and explain how their procedures and processes work to make you feel confident, but not confused. They understand the “realities” of life, so while they feel aspirational, they are not out-of-reach.

 

Project Goals

  • To create a brand that feels like it could be on a quaint main street, as well as a hip city neighborhood block.

  • To establish a brand that feels clean, but not clinical

  • To develop an easy-to-use design system for the business owner to implement day-to-day
